Re: emirates airline

I traveled with my 4 month old with emirates airlines in December, and I carried a water bottle with me in the plane. The bottle was in my baby's diaper bag. The airline doesn't care as long as it goes through security and stuff. The guys at security asked me about it, and I said it's for the baby..So no worries, you cn carry water, or whatever you need for the baby without any worries. Good luck on your trip!

Re: emirates airline

thnkx vitalsigns this is what i m asking its always better 2 carry each n every thing of baby wth u :):)

Re: emirates airline

Oh airlines doesn't care, its the security that does. Security doesn't want people taking water. Emirates wouldn't care as long as you pass security.
I remember for my nephew I asked emirates staff that water should be certain temperature i.e. they heated it up in microwave and they even have hot water if you ask for it.

Re: emirates airline

yeah but the thing is when last time i travelled they didnt allowed me when i was entering the gate..... n u have 2 wait after entering the gate 2 be seated in plane so what if baby ask 4 the milk mean while thts y asking

Re: emirates airline

Can you not make up a botle or two beore entering the gate?

Re: emirates airline

If you need the water for making your little one's formula, I suggest buying the ready-made formula cans instead. You can keep them with you on the airplane, and when baby is hungry, just pour the milk into a bottle, and have the hostess give you hot water so you can warm the bottle up. It's a lot more convenient, and you don't have to worry about having to take boiled water on the airplane.

The cans are not very big in size, so I don't think the airlines/security check would have a problem with you taking them on board.

Re: emirates airline

we flew with Virgin Atlantic 3 months ago and sister had made 2 bottles of milk for little one..they just asked her to taste it...and she was allowed through...however when she needed milk on the plane she asked for hot water and they provide it...so just take 2 bottles with u and be prepared 2 taste it when at security..

also it may be worthwhile calling emirates and asking them..my sister called virgin atlantic about 4 times b4 flying to make sure she knew everything she needed to know

Re: emirates airline

formula milk is prepared at the time of feeding it is not recomended 2 prepare it before time

Re: emirates airline

thnkx tabu n smilstar...... actually i m bit worried as this vl be my 1st trip wth my baby n i l b travelling all alone

Re: emirates airline

*Security is NOT the airline's responsibility. They have NO say in it. The Airport Security is responsible. u seem to be overly cautious. any food/water bought past the airport security is allowed onboard. i wud suggest call ur local airport authority and talk to them. *

Re: emirates airline

Entering the gate and what's allowed in is not airline's responsibility... its TSA the security that doesn't allow water or any liquid passing thru the gate. Emirate doesn't have any say in it. I have seen people take milk bottles thru security but the security ask them to taste the milk in front of them.

Re: emirates airline

awww thnk u evry1 4 replying me yes i m bit confused n worried........... hope so everything goes fne plz pray 4 my safe journey wth my baby....... i didnt wanted 2 travel alone wth my baby n she is just 1 n half months old but circumstances have forced me................. need prayers gng through really tough time

Re: emirates airline

Prayers are with you. But as far as your baby is concerned, you shouldn't worry. Just make sure you take with you whatever your baby needs (mostly diapers, change of clothes, etc.), and carry water or pre-made milk with you (in an icepack ofcourse). Don't worry, about the security, since TSA allows you to carry food for the baby. They will simply ask you to open the can of formula or water bottles. You can also check with the pediatrician, if it's ok for you to give your baby some infant tylenol; just a way to soothe her and have her sleep a bit longer on the plane, but with a 1.5 month old, you're as lucky as you can get Good luck!
