^ we have selected our seats. just concerned about getting the best seats for our 16+ hour flight to DXB, so debating between bassinet row vs front of economy side row.

Front of economy side row should be fine. But still you’ll be close to bassinet row so if there are any babies, you’ll be enjoying the music whole travel long. I’d still advice to you to request “F” zone. Read my post #19](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=19)

we selected row 49 for our trip going and row 53/54 for our return (these were the closest seats available to the front of the plane) on the Airbus A380-800.

hope they're good and comfortable seats inshallah!

Yup, good luck. Btw, these new aircrafts are amaaaaazzzziinnngg.. If you go by stair inside and just take a look upwards towards its buisness class its just a five-star hotel up there. And thats why they've a lil barrier at stairs for people like me not to sneak in :(

so with one week left before flying…i’m really worried about their new luggage rules for checked baggage. there are 3 of us travelling and inshallah we plan on taking 5 suitcases only. my concern is the new allowance is total 59 inches for each bag with total 107 inches maximum for two pcs per passenger. that means the standard 27 inch or 29 inch suitcases most desis have will not work :(.

this means your two checked bags have to be something like this (one 20 inch and one 26 inch)

otherwise a $175 excess fee will be charged.

i’m not worried about weight, as all the pieces will be less than the 23kg limit. the size restriction is stressing me out! :/. do i really need to buy new smaller pieces and repack? anyone experience this recently??

Being under the weight limit is a plus point. Go early for the check-in and you should be fine.
