^ when they made you check in your carry on, did they charge you? I’m worried about bringing my 21 inch carry on and having them stop me because it’s too big to fit into the bin during one of my trip legs ( we have layoverS in Singapore and Dubai for a few days each before reaching Lahore).

sometimes, flights originating in the west are a bit lenient and if the carry-on bag is bigger they offer to check it in at NO charge but in the check-in agents in the subcontinent aren’t that generous. they will charge you extra.

i was a victim of this type of situation when i traveled to India on Etihad Airways. they checked in my carry-on bag for free but, on my way back from Delhi, i had to pay $50 US extra.
