^ when they made you check in your carry on, did they charge you? I’m worried about bringing my 21 inch carry on and having them stop me because it’s too big to fit into the bin during one of my trip legs ( we have layoverS in Singapore and Dubai for a few days each before reaching Lahore).

No. There was nothing else for check-in, I travel light

One trick is to go early when check-in counters open. Normally they are lenient in the beginning.
