and wht did government do? that was my question. we all know who killed them. but why didn't government do anything then? why it took the killings of security personnels to take action and not the deaths of innocent civilians in karachi? were these civilians less important than these security personnels or were there factors involved which could harm mushy's interests had he taken any action against the killers of 150+ innocent ppl in karachi.

and who/wht are troops? with mushy as head of the army...i have no faith in our army or troops. and mind you i'm a trained solder myself and am a reserved in the army. but that does not mean i have to support wht our army is doing in different parts of pakistan. to kill terrorist is one thing but to kill innocent people so that mushy could get good grades and money from US...that simply won't cut for me.

Hameed Dogar is Mushrrafs CJ and not the CJ of Pakistan. He was 3rd rate morally corrupt lawyer who had no credibility of any kind nor will anyone accept him as a CJ. The man deserves nothing, but contempt.
am i the only to feel joy with the comeuppance of our media? i dont think i have been more angry than when i was watching the coverage of lal masjid stanoff when ghazi was portrayed as a hero. now media has to sign a code of conduct to broadcast. otherwise owners lose their investment. and the cj is not around to bail them out either. haha.

It seems that anyone above Brigadier in army is now eligible to become judges. Government is waiting for judges to decline taking oath under PCO and thus replacing all judges :)
In 2000 only 4 of the 15 SC judges took the oath under the PCO. The positions of the other 11 were filled quite quickly (including one by a certain Ch.Iftikhar), and the Supreme Court went on functioning.
Like in 2000 4 judges have taken under the PCO today. I am sure the vacant positions left by the others will also be filled quite quickly, and the Supreme Court will carry on functioning.
I am sure the new judges will much more careful than the previous lot in not letting murderers and terrorists to be released, so that they can terrorise people across Pakistan.

Well in the end "The Public Gets What the Public Wants". If you'er going to entertain and patronize gangsters either in uniform, sitting on a Judical bench or in a "social club" called parliament, what do you expect.

This is the worst example in the history of Pakistan that one man has done so much harm to national interest just to make sure that he stays in power. He makes Zia look like an angel. That depends if the current dictator is going to around for 6 month or not. The way I see it there are going to be mass protests in coming days, and Mushrraf is going turn Pakistani army against Pakistani people. Now, average soldier is going to to kill his own people, but they will take out Mushrraf which long over due.
free media and free judiciary are important when these institutions protect and serve the cause of pak. when media and judiciary gets in bed with jehadis and bin ladenites to undermine our country, then they deserve a butt-kicking.

it is going to be different this time. In the past the coups were against a govt not courts. This time the whole drama has been played to save the president and his corrupt team from the judiciary. This drama has just begun and Inshallah will end with Musharraf being sent packing.

It's not an ideal situation, but in the end it was just what was needed after the horrendous terrorists attacks across Pakistan. If some vindictive judges had not released dozens upon dozens of terrorists from custody, then a lot of these terrorists attacks would not have happened.

yeah…very true…and as they say…two wrongs do make a right. it happened in the past and we were ok with it…so its ok now aswell. our army killed thousands and thousands of innocent civilians in 1971 war…so its ok now too to kill innocent civilians..and what is even better is that this time we are killing our own people. how cool that can be? our people were screwed by dictators in the past so its perfectly rational to screw them now aswell afterall they are a bunch of below average pakistanis who are not even requal to M2K’s jooti. :k:
