I don't know if elephants are used in Pakistani jewelry but they have been used in Indian jewelry for ages.

We have kada's of elephants face and trunk that are extremely popular in Begalis. Its called Haathi-mookh kadas , alsmost all bengalis married women will have these.

Also peacocks !!!

So I guess it wouldn't be too weird from an Indian point of view.

I meant having an elephant (the animal) on my wedding, not wearing it as wedding jewelry! And payal, elephants and peacocks are pretty popular on the sindh side too, and peacocks are popular all around.
