**Mumbai: **Kareena Kapoor went out of her way to convince the makers of her forthcoming film (also starring Aamir Khan) to allow a special screening of the movie two weeks before its release for her beau Saif Ali Khan. *DNA *learnt that the couple spent a cozy evening together in an empty theatre where the preview was held. Saif loved Kareena’s performance so much he decided to give her a very expensive gift.
A source reveals: “Kareena called up Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani to ask if she could host a private screening for her boyfriend Saif. Vidhu and Raju had no problems and when the preview theatre was finalised, they sent across a print of the movie. So far, only a handful of people have access to the prints due to security reasons, but they had no problem trusting Saif and Kareena with it. Vinod and Said are friends ever since they worked together in Eklavya.”
The theatre booked by Kareena, was devoid of any other guest except Saif and the couple naturally spent a pretty romantic evening there. “They were meeting after a long time since Kareena has been very busy with shoots and Saif is caught up with his production ventures. This was an ideal setting for them to enjoy each other’s company. Saif has always admired Kareena’s performance but he loved this one so much that the very next day he bought a stunning emerald necklace worth Rs20 lakh as a gift to salute her histrionics,” adds the source.
Saif’s spokesperson confirmed, “Saif loved the film – he did gift Bebo something but it’s too personal a matter to talk about.”
