So as my search goes on, I have finalized my barat outfit but my in laws are still confused about the valima outfit so i’m taking some initiative to send my sister in law some pictures.
I am wearing my mother in law’s shadi ka set (that she saved for her son’s wife) which has gorgeous emerald green stones in it. So the outfit has to have a touch of emerald green in it but does not have to be a lot of green or like green mainly.
I need your help so please post pics of any recent bridals that you’ve seen (the long gown style shirts with a little bit of lehnga showing and stuff like that) that have emerald green and another color combination that you really like.
I am really counting on you guys because I know this place is the best source of information and you guys have always been extremely helpful Thank you so much in advance

aras, since it is a walima, go for something cream with the hint of emerald in the lining of the dopatta or a jamawar underskirt below lehnga in emerald.

Dems I would look like a kaali bhens in cream....i'm not gorgeously fair like u and with my in laws being kashmiri as it is...I cannot take my chances even though cream and emerald would look grand!
I think i'm leaning towards either a peach and emerald green or the sana safinaz type with a maroon and royal blue type thing!

Your complexion is perfect, I'd definetly bank on what dems has suggested.
Fawn, peach, creamy beige & off white with a touch of gold are great combos with emerald green.

Aras kuch bhi keh lo, cream / offwhite with muted gold kaam and a touch of emerald in the dobatta or rather the underskirt in emerald jamawar is the way to go. I would LOVE to see a good jamawar underskirt
A friend of mine did a plain underskirt/lehnga, with a heavily worked kameez, and this worked amazingly well and was within budget because of it. Also since you rarely wear lehnga again, I felt it paid off. even so I would suggest you go for a jamawar print on lehnga

I LOVE the lehnga in this green option. The lehnga and shirt are muted, and would make your jewellery pop. And makeup artists will make your complexion GLOW, regardless of whether you feel it is “fair enough” or not. What matters is a glow, not the amount of white chittapan

I love 1 and 5!! 5 looks like a bunto to me.
aras, whatever you do, please don’t go for the super matchy emerald green tie and pocket square for your hubby like in picture number 3. that looks a bit too matchy matchy imo.

^ I think a muted green tie would look better, preferably with a vest (three piece).
oooor imagine a cream sherwani with the slightest hint of pale green embroidery at the neck/shoulders, or a single emerald stone set in the place of the topmost button

omg that is a seriously hot sherwani. I like the whole ensemble - the chundri pagri with the raw silk tail (?) and the subtle embroidery on the sherwani. the only thing I don’t like is the weird kaam on the upper sleeve.
