Embroidery getting cheaper thanks to technology

Recently, a lot of clothing shops have opened up that sell fully embroidered fabrics with embroidery, beads and sequins at reasonable prices (Thread and Motifs, Motifs are some examples). You can get fully embroidered suites for Rs 7000.

These companies have invested in large scale machinery which has mechanized all aspects of product creation, from the pattern design in a software, to thread selection via color recognition to the actual embroidery and finish. This whole process is very economical in terms of cost and time.

Anyhoos, the point I am making is that, aside from the initial investment in the machinery, it costs the companies peanuts to embellish fabrics with embroidery.
With more entrants into this market, it’s only a matter of time when competition drives down the prices. I am looking forward to this change:) btw I got three outfits from ‘threads and motifs’ and they are STUNNING. They have a tiny shop on MM alam road and it’s packed all the time( I’ve always needed to elbow my way in) I will share pix with you guys. ( I am kinda new and need to look at the guidlines:)). I’ll also share pix of a “Motifz” outfit that i got.

Re: Embroidery getting cheaper thanks to technology

i love getting ready-made clothes but what really bugs me is why most of the shops don’t carry large sizes, or if they do it’s VERY limited stuff. im not talking abt extremely large sizes, like XL/XXXXL etc but a simple L/XL?

Is there not enough demand by the consumers/public? or are they trying to send a msg (albeit subtle) for them to stay out of their stores/to lose weight?

:hmmm:

LOLZ. my mom fits into Chinverye's Large (Bareeze's ready to wear) and generations large sizes as well :). But I agree that rest aren't as thoughtful. My mom got a suite from Motifz, and when she had it stitched, the darzee could only make half sleeves as fabric wasn't enough.
