first, sorry for derailing your thread further proto.

aramis - sorry to hear what happened but i think the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’ comes into play here.

now i know people don’t want to be ripped off and i am 100% for paying a fair price. but from my personal experience and inquiries i’ve had, it seems that the people who go to Pak regularly agree with the costs for kaam, fabrics, stitching etc etc and can see the differences between what’s being offered here and the corresponding prices.
those who haven’t been to Pak in a long time, seem to have more of an issue with prices and expect everything to be a lot cheaper. i.e. cheaper stuff = good value; expensive stuff = being ripped off. when it’s more a case of having to pay for quality.

for example, i’m sure proto could sell these stitched clothes even cheaper if she: compromised on the additional fabrics she buys, had cheaper dying done that will run in the wash or rub off on clothes, paid for cheaper tailoring that is no good, etc.
but that would just jepordise her future business and i she’s a nice person so i doubt would want to do that to clients anyway.

now i’m not saying you can’t get nice things in Pak that are a lot cheaper than what’s being sold here but then all that stuff someone else is doing for you, you would do yourself. time is money kinda thing.
