first, sorry for derailing your thread further proto.

aramis - sorry to hear what happened but i think the phrase 'you get what you pay for' comes into play here.

now i know people don't want to be ripped off and i am 100% for paying a fair price. but from my personal experience and inquiries i've had, it seems that the people who go to Pak regularly agree with the costs for kaam, fabrics, stitching etc etc and can see the differences between what's being offered here and the corresponding prices.
those who haven't been to Pak in a long time, seem to have more of an issue with prices and expect everything to be a lot cheaper. i.e. cheaper stuff = good value; expensive stuff = being ripped off. when it's more a case of having to pay for quality.

for example, i'm sure proto could sell these stitched clothes even cheaper if she: compromised on the additional fabrics she buys, had cheaper dying done that will run in the wash or rub off on clothes, paid for cheaper tailoring that is no good, etc.
but that would just jepordise her future business and i she's a nice person so i doubt would want to do that to clients anyway.

now i'm not saying you can't get nice things in Pak that are a lot cheaper than what's being sold here but then all that stuff someone else is doing for you, you would do yourself. time is money kinda thing.

Wow how did I not see this post until now!!!! Prototype thanks for all these great pictures!!!

What is the kaam made of, is it just thread work? How formal do the suits look, like are they dawat type suits or to wear to weddings too? Sorry if that sounds like a funny question haha, but I just want to know what the kaam is like

These are done on 60 grams chiffon and include threadwork and sequins in most of the designs and tilla( silver/gold metal thread) in a few. I am doing banarsi pipings for some of them which will make them more formal and wearable at weddings as well :)

Yes,that is navy blue. The price includes stitching as well. Shipping charges would be additional.

This was available in maroon and light pink. Maroon is sold out. I have a pink one left with me.

HIProto, loving the designs. I was wondering if there were any designs with slih=ghtly less kaam an them that you could just wear out to lunch ot when u have to go round to an aunty's house with your mum!!!!
