try red or brown emb on orange.instead of embroidery how abt beadwork ?that might look better than emb and pop up more.another option can be white embroidery to tone it down.

Red sounds pretty or maybe ferozi on orange would look really nice.
some pix to giv u a lil idea.depending on wat shade of orange u hav all these or similarcombos will look good.
though a bit more yellow but red will look good on orange too.
