Embarrassing

I have an embarrassing problem. :bummer:

My feet stink. I wash em, wear a new pair of socks everyday etc, and i dunno why they’re still smelly. I feel so self conscious when I go in the MSA to pray and i hav to take off my shoes… Kya karoon? :frowning:

Re: Embarrassing

Arm & Hammer shoe spray…It does work…:k:

Re: Embarrassing

its natural for different people to have sweaty feet, like some people have very sweaty palms. The trick is to wash em regularly and change socks, which you already do. And try and keep them as dry as possible. There are powders out there that help deodorize shoes and feet. Also, check your shoes, and if they are smelly,,, put them out in the sun, and deodorize them.

Re: Embarrassing

Maybe change the insoles of the shoes you regularly wear. You can get ones that absorb sweat so that your shoes don't smell (which in turn makes your feet smell) ... or something like that. :p

Use a good peppermint foot scrub and lotion regularly as well.

Re: Embarrassing

foot scrub .. foot scrub. It is the dead skin cells on your feet that are causing the odor. :bailan:

Re: Embarrassing

oww Oww stop hitting me with the bailan, ill use foot scrub :bummer:

Waise i don hav this trouble in sumeritme :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Embarrassing

If u don't have this problem in the summer then i guess it's cos u wear sandals and so ur feet r more exposed to air...try to walk barefoot as much as u can, like in ur house, that way ur feet will get more oxygen and stay drier...hmm, and maybe those foot insoles from dr. scholls (odour eaters) wud help.

Re: Embarrassing

Sprinkle a bit of talcum powder in ure shoes and on ure sole, the sweat will be absorbed and ure feet will smell good instead of unpleasant.

Re: Embarrassing

Ms Sara...there is something called "stinky pinkies" made by Dr Scholl, you can get them in pharmacy or grocery stores. Its a shoe insert that absorbs wetness and odor.

Use those in your shoes and dont wear any plastic shoes...that should resolve the prob.

Re: Embarrassing

With new shoes dont ever repeat a pair of socks that youhave worn before unless laundered. Dirty socks cause long lasting stink in shoezees

Re: Embarrassing

Sara, nothing to be embarrassed about. Most stinky feet issues stem from damp/wet shoes, be it from sweaty feet or walking through puddles. The idea is to keep your shoes dry. Damp shoes are a safe haven for bacteria which cause the stink. One of the recommended things is to have 2-3 pairs of daily use shoes, don't wear the same shoes every day. This gives each pair ample time to dry out properly. Secondly, try sprinkling a little baking soda in each pair, this absorbs dampness and stink. Finally, if shoes are really stinky, let them dry out nicely, seal them in a plastic bag, and put them in a freezer. The cold kills all the stinky bacteria.

I hope this helps.

Ahmed i think my mother will kill me before the cold kills the bacteria for putting my Pumas close ot her beloved paway .
