I think the point is that it’s good to laugh with everyone but not AT someone…which is the case here. You may not have meant it, but you have made fun of your husband’s inability to speak English correctly.
A husband and wife are like each others clothing…you can’t get closer than that. It means you should protect and look out for each other. Also, put yourself in his shoes…would you like it if you were laughed at by others cos he chose to share an embarrassing moment of your own?
Food for thought.

He’s her husband, he’s probably more aware and used to of her humour and mannerisim than all of us. For all you know, he must’ve shrugged off his shoulders and didn’t give a hoot. Besides, I don’t understansd why people making it seem as if she teamed up with the shopkeeper start ‘insulting’ her husband? All I’m getting is that the shopkeer appeared kinda shocked by the comment so nadz made a light hearted comment to ease her off. I really doubt if herher hunsband is a miserble snob who’s so full of himself with zero sense of humour, what he feels and should’ve felt is none of our concern.
