embarrassing things your partner says/does

thought of this topic while coming home from shopping yesterday.

My husband asked the lady at the supermarket checkout can you show me the nipples please

OMG…

OK HE MEANT teats/pacifier/soothers for babies…in pakistan you call them nipples, hell even my mum used to say it, before i told her to stop…ive told my husband once not to say nipples it sounds odd, he thought i was joking.

bichari look on womans face, who nearing 70, was shocking. i had to explain he was not from this country, ( or indeed planet) and he meant teats…

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

ROTFLOLZ.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

Hahahahaha!

Hey, in his defence, 'teats' means the same thing.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

you don't find this ironic? i don't know how old you are, but this is indeed also inappropriate. I'll admit I chuckled reading your post.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

lol, yes but it just sounds worse saying nipples ....

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

You could have just said the pacifiers/soothers etc, instead of making fun of your husband.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

And I thought I was a burden… :omg:

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

that lady thought in that way thats her thinking & so is her fault not your husbands.......
everything happened unintentionally no need to embarrass.........

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

ROFLOL

:rotfl:

How could you NOT respect your husband ..so what if hes from pak .. you meant to teach him … if you gona open a thread every other day ..murder-ing … crucifying .. takin the mickkk outa your husband .. then you shud have thought about that when you married him … i pity you to be honest .. i seen so many threads of yours .. which are just typically nitty gritty ..picky picky all the time … and finding excuses to bring .. make fun of your husband ..

when your child grows up .. do u really think he/she gona respect his/her dad ..esp the way you deal with him …

anyways, have some mercy .. so what if he said nipples …waht if you were born and raised in pak .. and you wud ve said the same thing …always think twice actually 10 times before you or even him talk about each other .. its the little things that make the big things …

:rotfl:

So many folks from back home ask for rubber when they mean to say eraser.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

^ Sound advice FBI bhai :salute:

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

Nadz...you're about to go to Pakistan which is his home turf.

If he treats you like an idiot there...what will you do?

By the way, teats sounds equally - if not more - worse than nipples. In fact, Ive never heard of anyone calling a pacifier, a teat.

If you ask me, that sounds gross.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

I shouldn’t laugh…but that’s hilarious :hehe:

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

Every dog has his dog - no worries but let see how misfit and mocked you will be in Pakistan :)

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

ohh emm gii :omg::omg::omg:

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

Nadz, seriously do listen, this is only for your good. Please never never embarrass your husband in front of anyone else, be those outsiders or family! You will bruise his ego and he will develop resentment. You should be like a team in front of others.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

Calm down guys, she didn't embarrass him, she helped him in an embarrassing situation. If she hadn't explained to the lady that he wasn't from around here and actually meant pacifier that the lady would have thought that he was a pervert or something.

What did you guys want her to do start crying while the lady had a wrong impression of her husband and he was facing a communication gap?

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

nadz only has to start a topic, and the bashing starts.
IMO I thought this was very cute.. and funny. If it was my husband, I would have laughed my head off, and vice versa.

Re: embarrassing things your partner says/does

dw,im sooo used to it, its a part of the nadz123 brand.

and ur right, i didnt embarrass him, he did it himself, esp after ive told him a few times NOT to say it.....however he thinks its ok and doesnt mean anything......so its his own fault.
