Elizabeth from 1998 reminded me a bit of my own life, people telling me to get married too all the time. But it was also an interesting story about a part of her life of which I hadn’t seen a movie or a tv film yet. My children and I all enjoyed watching it. There were a few inappropriate scenes in it though, also some scary ones, so if anyone wants to watch it with children, be careful while showing it to children.
I watched Elizabeth the Golden Age expecting a similar quality movie as the first movie. Though an excellent movie, it somehow impressed me a little less than the Elizabeth of 1998. But the acting was fantastic again, the costumes, the environment, everything was amazing. I found this movie to be more symbolic as well than the first. My son liked this one better, while my daughter and I prefer the Elizabeth of 1998.
