I m just wondering..if it is fair that in elections vote from an educated person is equivalent to a vote from a person who sold his vote for two meals or some money or some other family benefit.
By educated i do not mean that he has a degree but the one who knows about wat is at stake for the country and nation over all rather than just a meal or family benefit.
Do you think if this system continues it can bring change for the better?.
I have seen ppl voting for PPP coz their leader was ‘martyred’. I have seen ppl voting for a person who happens to be a ‘gaddi nasheen’ even though he is a rapist…a drinker..and wat not.
Well there a few things, firstly the bias is there mostly people vote for some party whom their parents have been voting. This myth has been broken on Punjab to an extent as I know people who will be voting for PPP and PMLN and their children will be voting PTI in the next elections. Secondly in rural areas usually the Gaddi nasheen or feudal decides where his subjects need to vote, and thirdly is the rigging that takes place. What can be done where 45% of the votes are fake?
We need to read deeper and find that most of those 100 people come from Europe and from the time 1700-1900 AD and that most of them are not political leaders. They are poets, philosophers, scientists, writers, musicians, etc. This time frame coincides with the development of the concept of democracy as we have today and also the age of enlightenment. In my opinion democracy, in a one-person-one-vote sense is truly beneficial to the society only when civilians have access to knowledge (not education) and they are free to pursue whatever line of profession they want to.

This is against the spirit of Islamic equality that all human beings are equal. Education is not a criteria for honesty or competency. Pakistan is destroyed by educated people who are the most bloody corrupt to core of their hearts as compared to uneducated. Get your facts and bias corrected against poor people of Pakistan.

but anways i have seen AQ khan's hatti (shop) near raja bazaar...Atom Bomb Kariana store...there were even few rouge country buyers there..
This is what happened in Mush's rule. The national hero, most qualified educated person who helped in creating atom bomb for Pakistan, made zero in one Mush's press conference, damaging the sovereignty of the country. These are educated people who have been ruling Pakistan for decades. I consider their votes as -100% of votes of poor uneducated people. They are more patriot than your so called educated, elite morally and physically corrupt destroying Pakistan. Don't dehumanize them because they are poor or uneducated.
