Hello ladies,
I’ve been browsing through the mehndi bridal threads & posts for quite a while now but still cannot seem to locate the outfit I’m looking for. No, I’m not planning on getting married anytime soon but I am looking for my perfect mehndi outfit, just to know I know what I want. Satisfaction maybe? Anyways, I’ve only liked ONE mehndi outfit in the past 4 years…thats ridiculous. I need more options before my time runs out and I think you girls can help me with this. Theres no rush but I’d appreciate SOME sort of feedback.
What I’m looking for:
- my color combo is & will remain the classic emerald green paired with gold work.
- Preferably an anarkalli.
- I like the kaam to be clean and pulled together, not spread out over the outfit. Simplicity is elegance but I still would like it to look bridal.
- My overall theme is revolving around the Mughal era. I LOVE the outfits featured in old movies like “Noor jahan” & the old version of “taj mahal”.

This is the only dress I’ve ever really liked. The kaam is a little much & the purple is unnecessary but overall, it caught my eye & I cant get over it. I keep coming back to it but the only issue is, the dress has been used in my family as my cousins mehndi dress. UGH! WHY WHY WHY! Any non-obvious simarlities are most welcome as well as opinions as to what I should be looking for.
In short, I just want a really classy & timeless Mehndi dress. Something traditional but also clean cut. No colorful rangeen bahar or heavy as an elephant outfit.
