I have done it once. For the circuit schematic we used pSPICE and for the layout we used OrCAD. Its an expensive software, but the company I worked for used it. Then after the layout was complete, the board was built/fabricated. It was done on four layers, so it was pretty expensive. If its a student project youre doing, I think you will need to stay on two layers. There is a demo version of OrCAD available on the web, but its got limitations, for instance it wont generate the files needed to get the board physically built, and the libraries would be limited, so you wont find alot of hardware parts and footprints in its database.

yes tis a student project and we are to use 2 layers for it.. ORCAD eh?
