In the last couple of months, the electricity in our apartment keeps going out..everything goes out except for hte fridge and kitchen light. its happened several times, we don’t have any heavy appliances plugged in, even our super said that the things that are plugged in and in use shouldn’t cause the fuses to keep burning out..
We’ve been living here for over a year without any issues at all, but this electricity problem started a month or so ago, it happens every few weeks. I bought a set of fuses in case it happens, but my main concern is come summertime, when we use our A/C it will cause more problems for us. WHy does this keep happening and what can we do to prevent it?
Same thing happened to me when I plugged in the heater I bought. Someone came to fix it from the building management and he said that the apartment walls are divided into two. One that can support heavy appliances like AC, heater etc and one that can support smaller ones. You don't want to plug the heavy appliances in the wall that will support small appliances.
if your kitchen has power while the rest of the apt is dark, its circuit breaker that is tripping.
Yeah, that's it, the circut breaker keeps tripping....is that different than what I said?
The thing is, nothing happened for over a year, so I dunno why it keeps happening now...and the super is no help. we may have to call teh management and complain about this issue....
Just after reading the thread title i thot, thread was started by someone in Pakistan... And is this problem only at ur place? If, yes there might be something wrong as sarab said.
