From what I have learned over the internet…Solar Cells are getting close to 14% conversion efficiency, which makes them competitive in daylight hrs and closer to equator…with other power sources mainly becuase there is no loss in transmission like it is in centralized fossil fuel power plants..
Approximately Solar cells installed on a home’s rooftop can provide enough power during the day to fill the needs of one home and store excess power in battery bank…some systems even sell it back to the grid…
the investment needed seems to be around $38K to $45K initially…the solar cells life is 30 yrs plus in some cases…main expense is the replacement of batteries…that can be very expensive depending on what type batteries…
can you imagine if in Pakistan they switched to solar power…
