WitchDR, what made you revert, just curious… I mean EEs who work for 10-15 years, one can hardly expect them to change careeers, considering how difficult and experience ladden this field is.

Spock, I did not work in my beloved field of EE for that long time. I was involved in R&D for three years only (4 years if I include the university time as well). I love those three years.

There are a couple of reasons why I left that:

1- Career progression opportunities.
2- Financial benefits

I weighed the pros and cons of leaving the field at that time, and it made sense to change career.
