i just wanted to know what kinda cooking ranges r used in USA and canada?electric or gas ones?
like in saudia bcz of cheap electricity, its feasible and quite affordable to have electric cooking ranges..but at the same time some ppl do use gas cylinders in their homes at their own risk:S
here in dubai ,electricity is expensive as compared to saudia but still might be cheap as compared to europe..so i have seen ppl using mostly gas..
in uk they use gas (so far as i have seen)..ofcourse gas cylinders…i wonder do they have a central gas system like gas pipelines all around uk or even in some parts of uk??
what abt usa and canada?is electricity cheap there?do they have any sort of gas pipelines there?
In some states electricity is cheaper than gas and in some states gas is cheaper in electricity.
When I lived in CA , we always had gas ranges and in this state we have electric cooking range.
Electric stoves are the ones with the coils right? We have both in the US...just depends on the area you're in.
I had an electric stove when I lived alone and it was hard cooking on that thing. Either the heat was too high or too low so I just got used to cooking on low heat. Otherwise my food burned instantly.
so..just a question.. those having electric cookign ranges might be able to help…
i got one from GE sometime back..i like the oven performance..its superb for baking but not that good for cooking when i compare it with gas cooking ranges but anyhow now i can’t convert among the temperatures…it says 200WM…and i was wondering what’s its equivalent might be in Celsius…say if u want to bake @ 180 C then? (the accompanying leaflet doesn’t say anything about it)
it looks like this
