19th February,2008: Mr. Imran Khan chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has said that the election 2008 results are a REFRENDUM against Musharraf, The results are a clear indication that the people of Pakistan have rejected the policies of Musharraf and his allies. Musharraf should respect the mandate of the people and immediately resign.
He congratulated the democratic forces who have been part of the opposition’s struggle for an independent judiciary, financially and administratively autonomous election commission and free media. He added that the mandate given to PML(N) is clearly because of their stance for the reinstatement of deposed judges. He said we expect all other democratic parties elected to the parliament to support reinstatement of the deposed judges
Mr. Imran khan said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will continue its struggle for the rule of law and that the institution of an independent judiciary, autonomous election commission and free media are established.

It is indeed time to take action based on the mandate of the people. The politicians should live upto their promises, and if they don't. Public should do what it does best, and let it be known 'Enough is enough'.

Imran Khan needs to do something too and not sit back and relax. Nawaz told him to come back and join force in Dec, he declined the offer. Its time for him to go to Nawaz.

On the contrary, he should sit back, relax and stop wasting nation's time & energy in standing up for the causes he is not willing to take on himself.
