PTI and N

No MAN

Re: Elections 2013 results

Waleed I know we have problems with them, but you should not ignore one important factor:
In each province parties have their own local dynamics. Its more like greater evil vs. lesser evil. So if we can form a govt without them, well and good... otherwise lets do it together.

We must show performance and this we can only do if we are in a position to make policies.

Re: Elections 2013 results

not JUI, JI (Jamat e Islami). This moti tond diesl should be away from iqtidar this time :mad3:

Re: Elections 2013 results

PTI+ JI+ IND can easily make government. PTI need to moblise and should not just focus on dhandli in other areas

Re: Elections 2013 results

Fazl is a leech, PTI should block him out.

Re: Elections 2013 results

yes if they lose out in KPK then might as well be curtains

Re: Elections 2013 results

Agreed!

I am quite sure brains at PTI policy making will not overlook this.

PTI to contact JI for formation of govt in KPhttp://dunyanews.tv/election/index.php/news_detail/173446-PTI-to-contact-JI-for-formation-of-govt-in-KP

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has decided to form government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has a formed a committee in this connection. According to PTI sources, the committee will contact Jamat-e-Islami and independent candidates in order to form government in KP. It is important to note that on Sunday JUI-F chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman contacted PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and discussed the formation of coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PML-N, JUI-F, AWP are in position of forming government with the help of independents.

Re: Elections 2013 results

34 + 7 + 13 (independent)

Re: Elections 2013 results

Actual PTI making govt in KPK suites everyone. It gives PTI a chance to prove their worth, it encourages their voter to vote for them again. It gives PMLN chance to prove that they can perform better and save their future (because it will not be easy for PTI to rule in KPK being first timer, and fixing ANP's mess is by no means a child's play). If PTI does not come in KPK, bigger looser will be PMLN because they will definitely fail in KPK due the sheer amount of work needed there. In next election PTI will again have this positive point of not-been-tested-before. And if PTI makes govt this time, both of them stand 50/50 chance to make a comeback in next election, so i don't think if if PMLN has a litttttlllleeee brain they will try to make govt in KPK, similarly, PTI should not let this opportunity go

Re: Elections 2013 results

You guys are forgetting the power of independent candidates in these elections.

JI's seats are not that much of a factor in KPL to form a govt.

I am not sure if PTI can woo any independents in KPK.

PMLN + JUI + IND seems more likely to form a govt in KPK. Im sure this is already in works and deal is being brokered as we speak while PTI is busy crafting the white paper which no one will bother to read other than folks on GS :)

Re: Elections 2013 results

Sheeda what are the numbers for PMLn+JUI

Re: Elections 2013 results

Combined. Last time i saw on the news ticker =26

Now add the independent candidates. More than enuff to form govt.

Re: Elections 2013 results

Still not enough to form Govt.
1. KPK Provincial Assembly has 99 seats. So 50 needed to form govt. Results for 96 seats have been declared.
So far,
1. PTI: 34
2. JUI-F: 13
3. Independent: 13
4. PML-N: 12
5. JI: 7
6. QWP: 5
7. ANP: 3
8. PML-F: 3
9. PPP: 2
10. QWP: 1
11. AJIP: 1
12. QJP: 1
13. APML:1

So JUI-F + PML-N + Independents = 38. They'l still need 12 more seats. So unless many other parties gang up against PTI (which is unlikely), PTI seems to be well set to form the govt.

  1. Not sure if its the law, but conventionally, the governor first asks the majority party if they can prove their (or their alliance's) clear majority (in this case 50 seats). Only if they cannot prove majority, any other party can be invited to prove their majority.

So, I am sure PTI will quite easily form the govt. in my province. In my opinion, it will be PTI+JI+Independents.
