Imran and Sheikh Rashid doing well in Rawal Pindi

**Imran leading against Hanif Abbasi in NA-56
**It’s an early celebration for Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf. From NA-56 (Rawalpindi-VII), PTI chief Imran Khan is taking a clear lead against Hanif Abbasi of PML-N.
So far, results show that Khan is beating his opponent with a wide margin. From the polling station of Shamsabad, Khan bagged 861 votes against 375 votes for Abbasi.
Meanwhile, in NA-55 (Rawalpindi-VI), Sheikh Rashid Ahmed is leading with 2,000 votes in 17 polling stations against Shakeel Awan of PML-N.
PTI supporters are leading big rallies in downtown Rawalpindi, whereas, PML-N supporters are nowhere to be seen.

Sheikh Rashid riding high in early NA-55 results
Jubilation was everywhere around the symbolic Lal Haveli, the residence of Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, as early results show him victorious against Shakeel Awan of the PML-N in NA-55 Rawalpindi.
Hundreds of supports gathered outside the Awami Muslim League leader to celebrate his historic winning.
Enthusiastic supporters were dancing, singing and driving motorcycles. Fireworks added to the festivities of his supporters.
Rashid lost the NA-55 constituency to Shakeel Awan in the 2008 general elections. He is now making an amazing comeback with an active support from the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf.
The PML-N camp were by comparison very despondent. The PML-N stalwarts faced a similar situation to what Sheikh Rashid supporters went through during the last elections.
Sheikh Rashid just tweeted that he was leading with 15000 votes.
He is going to address to his excited followers in a while.

The biradri / feudal vote bank is by and large independent of performance. It will take time to break these traditional shackles (but I sometimes wonder if we ever will!!!). Literacy is the key

I think its very impressive for PTI to sweep KPK. Thats a large step for a province leading corruption for last many years
