Re: Elections 2013 results
Still not enough to form Govt.
- KPK Provincial Assembly has 99 seats. So 50 needed to form govt. Results for 96 seats have been declared.
So far, - PTI: 34
- JUI-F: 13
- Independent: 13
- PML-N: 12
- JI: 7
- QWP: 5
- ANP: 3
- PML-F: 3
- PPP: 2
- QWP: 1
- AJIP: 1
- QJP: 1
- APML:1
So JUI-F + PML-N + Independents = 38. They’l still need 12 more seats. So unless many other parties gang up against PTI (which is unlikely), PTI seems to be well set to form the govt.
- Not sure if its the law, but conventionally, the governor first asks the majority party if they can prove their (or their alliance’s) clear majority (in this case 50 seats). Only if they cannot prove majority, any other party can be invited to prove their majority.
So, I am sure PTI will quite easily form the govt. in my province. In my opinion, it will be PTI+JI+Independents.
