Election all over the world are assessed using votes cast in recent past election, as past election result is the biggest ground realities of ground in each constituency.
Hence, for the purpose, I am recommending format, that should be based on Result, Comments, and then Assessment with requited voter swings.
Result format:
Total registered votes
Total valid casted votes
Party votes:
Percentage voter swing required for change in party representing vulnerable constituencies.
In my next post, I would give data for Karachi and Hyderabad, with assessment. I am leaving rest of Pakistan NA constituencies for others to fill in. :).
Though I thought it would be nice if results of all districts are in one thread that should be sticky and that people can comment and make assessment district wise in their posts.
Or it would be better if you can make 4 different sticky threads representing each province, and one can discuss in that thread with all data, regarding different districts and constituencies in each province.
^ I think we should go with one thread having all the National assembly seats. Or another can be to have a province wise, in which the National Assembly as well as Provincial Assembly seats for that province can be added.
It seems good idea that all NA seats are in one thread as they would be in one assembly and would be par with each other. Anyhow, I have feeling that 272 seats mean plenty of posts. So, to avoid that, probably it would be nice to have several NA related seats with their past election results, grouped together in one post.
On the other hand, another thread should be for provincial Assembly seats (if forum would like to discuss provincial assembly too), and here also number of related seats should be grouped together. Well, that is what I feel.
Saleem, we will make one thread for NA. Ideally we would have liked to create 4 separate threads but too much threads also create a potential problem for readers and posters alike.
I like your suggestions today and shall be waiting for you to post them or private message them to Ali and myself. :)
I think in present world situation, most important for any country is strong economy. Nothing matters more, as ‘bhukka, Nanga aur Kangla’ country, surviving on Aids and grants (‘Khairaat, Zakat, Chanda, Sadqa aur Fitra’) of other countries, cannot get respect or can make independent policies. One important data is GDP (Gross Domestic Product = All what country has produced in monetary terms over financial year).
Economic growth does not only increases country’s GDP, but creates jobs, gives development, spread education, gives good law and order system, provides better justice system, provides amenities and facilities for all, makes people healthy, creates awareness, provides good roads, gives good sewerage system and water supply, gives clean environment, etc, etc, etc.
Thus, it is important to know economic data of Pakistan as clearly as possible… so that one can discuss and give vote with full awareness, without getting con by corrupts.
No doubt, both Nawaz and Zardari are face of evils, but differences between them is that, Zardari is corrupt but not liar. On the other hand Nawaz Shareef and most in PMLN are not only corrupt but are blatant liars (lanat ul-la he allal kazabeen).
Today I was seeing TV program and evil face of Nawaz Shareef came in claiming that Pakistan saw unprecedented economic growth during his past rule and that if he was not thrown out of power than Pakistan would have become Asian Tiger (his statement promoted me to write this post). It seems, Nawaz is not only blatant liar, but thinks that Pakistanis are mentally retarded, who would believe whatever he would claim (and in most cases he is right too).
Anyhow, let see how Pakistan Gross Domestic Product did during Nawaz rule before he was shown the door. I am putting down graph of Pakistan GDP from 1986 to 2006.
Please note Liar Nawaz government performance (he ruled Pakistan from Feb 1997 till Oct 1999) and thus is responsible of Pakistan performance in 1997, 98 and 99. From graph, Pakistan GDP in dollars stayed constant at $62 billion from 1996 to 1999 (it means that since population was increasing, Pakistan per capita income in dollars was decreasing). Graph also shows how Blatantly Nawaz and his team lie in media and public speeches about their performance, to fool ignorant amongst masses.
