Watching Geo News channel right now. Re: Sh Rashid being absent from the scene right now... I think Pakistani politicians and leaders also need to learn to lose gracefully. You wage an ernest election campaign, and if you end up losing, thank your supporters, congratulate your opponent and accept defeat. That won't make them a smaller person. Hiding away and sulking is such a childish thing to do.

I doubt MQM will lose in Karachi. They may lose Liyari and other solid PPP areas, but will keep their traditional seats.

khurshid qasoori, hamid nasir, shar afgan also lost as well as rao sikandar iqbal. Shaikh rashid and chaudhri shujaat were the biggest upsets though. Parvaiz Ilahi has lost from one of the seats, not sure about others. Good riddance!

Almost all the ex-ministers have been wiped out. In my opinion, votes have been more anti-pml(q) rather than pro pml(n) or ppp.

PML(Q) would have done better had the elections been held back in early 2007. 2007 was a bad year for Musharraf and PML(Q), thanks to Thief Justice :D

Liaquat Jitoi (ex electricity and water minister) has also lost. His was expected considering the eelctricity crisis and his failings.
