Oh I hope.
From what I’ve heard Fakhru Dada and Najam Sethi were the two chiefs (Chief of the Election Commission and Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab) in 1997 when Nawaz won his absolute majority. This time around external and internal forces did not want any adventure, the Sharrif was handed the badge well before the elections began.
Both these corrupt to the core individuals would be considering this job very well done. They failed the nation, but did not fail the task they were handed. If anything the timing for 5 o clock is a joke, I’ve seen many people waiting in line to cast their vote (for PTI at that) and they had to be turned away because the polling time ended.
I actually gave 30 seats to PTI before election day, refer to my posts here in the forums. Anything higher would have been a bonus. But even I though that they may be able to win a bunch of seats from Punjab, southern Punjab particularly. Both PPP and PTI were brushed aside, by PML-N and their foreign masters (Saudi Arabia and the USA). Even some of the media was in on the fun.
But as far as Fakhru Dada is concerned, this was a raging success for him!

Because the court is in on the act.
It’s a complicated mess. Everyone knows just how much the Chief Justice favors the Sharrif. I would not be a bit surprised seeing him (and maybe even Kiyani) getting another extension once PML-N forms the government. I knew they would form the government, but I hoped to see PTI and other parties win more seats. As things stand now it’s a route - 100 and 200 all in Punjab.
As for the point of anything, well that is a philosophical question.
And I don’t do philosophy in the morning, thank you!

isnt the judge the one everyone took to the streets for and reinstated to oust musharraf? if he is, he shdnt be colluding with the injustices cz people really stood by him.

Chief Justice of Pakistan. It was the lawyers movement, then political parties like Jamat-e-Islami and PTI that struggled the most for months to reinstate him, not to much avail. And then a long march was planned, Nawaz Sharrif came in at the last moment with his entourage and started marching to Islamabad.
A few phone calls were made, and then the government decided to bring him back. But he is a clear friend of PML-N.

Nothing is impartial in Pakistan incl. the bureaucracy, media, military and judiciary
Anyone who thinks (incl. IK) that the present CJ or judiciary is free and independent is living in la la land
That is why I always had reservations about IK's naive claims that the judiciary is independent
