What has MQM done in all those years in Karachi they have failed completely?
Why dont give some other party a chance
If karachiites agree with it then they won't vote for MQM.
What I know is that MQM was not in total control. When it did have control of the city during kamal's time then it did deliver. this time around It went in and out of government several times which shows how uneasy its relationship has been with PPP. It had to endure PPP interior minister like Mirza. It had no say in running the city due to commisionarate system. It took MQM several years to remove all reservations of PPP about local bodies system. But the reaction from sindh was so strong that PPP had to back away.
I think karachi's woes are not easy to settle. Just removing MQM and bringing another party will not solve the problem. Problem is the lack of trust between Urdu and Sindhi people. If Karachi does not vote on the same lines with rest of Sindh, then no matter who wins from the city, the trouble will continue. Karachi will remain a city of mostly urdu people living under the shadow of majority Sindhi provincial government.

There is nothing like absolute farishta and absolute shaitan. MQM does attract negative publicity, but that does not mean that they didn't do anything for the city. They got a mandate and not every vote casted to them is due to thappa mafiya. I may not support them, but that doesn't give me a right to denounce their positive contribution for city. I do respect their mandate and they are reality of the city, which need to be accepted.
