Are election results generally finalized and broadcast the same night as polls closing? Any possibility that it could linger on if some polls need recounting or technical difficulties?

Whole pakistan abuzz with election fever ... definitely most passionate elections since Fatima Jinnah's 1960s contest against Ayub Khan ... and full credit goes to majestic Imran Khan for invigorating the youth-base.............................can't wait for May 11!

and oh well ... my final prediction, Imran will do great but Nawaz Sharif will make the government ... wud luv to be proved wrong but if not IK and his out-of-control supporters MUST accept the majority's verdict to help country move on peacefully and wait for next elections......enough of this jingoism plz. It was claimed that there wouldn't be loadshedding from 10th to 12th may due to elections, although its still continuing (12 to 14 hours in lahore). Wapda walo please shut down the electricity between 0800 to 1700 hrs tomorrow so that people do actually go out and vote.
