Once a man when heard the "azaan" (call of prayer) decided to go to the Masjid (Mosque). As less time was left in Jamaat (prayers in Mosque) he hurriedly prepared himself and before leaving told his wife to wake up their son for namaz (prayers)..
His wife, who was working in the kitchen said, "ok" in a casual way.
When the man returned from namaz, he could see his wife working in the kitchen and his son sleeping in his room.
He asked his wife, " Why didn't you wake him up ?"
She said," I tried a lot, but he was deep in his sleep and refused to wake up"
The man said, " What if now at this very moment, our house is on fire, and our son is sleeping, what would you do, if even by calling him many times, he doesn't respond"
She replied, " I would force him out of the bed and out of the house because the fire would harm him"
The man replied," You are so worried about saving our son from the fire of this world, but you don't consider saving him from the fire of hell, which is many many times hotter than that."
