ek Jhappi ek Sutta

A few weeks back, while I was waiting for members of a project near Aghaz Super Market ( a Posh area of Karachi), I saw something that made me

A girl came waving her hand and gave a jadu ki jhappi (hug) to a boy standing there and said O Mano! (the guy didn’t look like Imran Hashmi BTW).

That day I was really annoyed with Amjad Islam Amjad for his lines:

Takhliye ki baton main guftugu izafi hai
pyar karne walon ko ik nigah hi kafi hai

Today, I was going to Bank and in our office’s compound shared by other offices as well, on a corner, I saw something that made me :hayaa:

A boy holding a cigarette in her mouth was lighting the cigarette held in a girl’s mouth

Takhliye ki baton main guftugu izafi hai
pyar karne walon ko ik sutta hi kafi hai :sunnyboy:

Am I overreacting as these things have become part and parcel of our society?

Should I accept the slogan ’ Tabdeeli aai nahin, aa chuki hai’?

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

sahi hai.....:)

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

kia sahi hai? My conservative approach or burgerism that is being displayed on streets and public places

Ye wali tabdeeli bohat pehly a gaye the karachi me.It means aap ny abhe kuch ni dekha :p

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

tabdeeli aa chuki hai..ye sahi hai

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

kia Nazimabad main bhi? :hmmm:

I don’t know about nazimabad because i don’t live there but, i have seen such things happening in karachi almost 6-7 years ago.

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

and do you think majority accepted it?

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

I also saw incidents when I was doing an assignment at Unilever 5-6 years ago.. but then I thought its just a show-off from elite class.

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

majority accepts these things as culture of high class peoples..but do not follow these things...

It’s not just the elite class. What should i say now? chalen jany dain

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

When I told this to my colleagues, some says its normal yaar. We should ask management to send you people at Indus school for a week’s trip, so that you people become normal :smack:

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

bol ke lab azad hain tere. You mean this is also acceptable in middle class families.

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

i done my schooling from a co-ed school..but there was no interaction between boys and girls…

magar aaj kal…

It’s not acceptable at all not even in the elite class but exceptions are there.Do you think parents of these kids encourage them? No they don’t…okay i know there are people who are liberal beyond imagination but we can’t blame all people belonging to upperclass. There are many other reasons beside showoff as to why these things are happening in our society.

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

why there was no interaction between girls and boys in co-education? :hmmm:

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

such as? mazhab se doori? Indian movies ka asar in the name of being cool

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

definitely they are the reasons, our media is not behind :bummer: phir kehty hain media ko azadi ni hy

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

I have studied in co-education, In primary there were only 4 girls(including me) in my class and the rest were boys and we had to sit with them but, i never felt there was anything wrong with it

Re: ek Jhappi ek Sutta

There is nothing wrong in interaction, it promotes healthy competition in education institutes.

Do you know how the terms 'burgers' and 'bun-kabab' were defined by Omar Sharif?
