Ek basti thi dil walon ki,

Jahan “Chand” or “Suraj” baste thay.

Sara din wo angan men hansa khela karte thay.

Ek dosre per dil-o-jan se marte thay.

Phir ek din yun hua wo dono apis mein ruth gaye.

Jo sapne thay wo toot gaye.

Ab chand wahan tab ata he, jb suraj chala jata he,

Jab surj ata hy tb chand so jata he,

Badal ye kehte hen,ye surj uljha uljha rehta he,

Chand k pas to taare hen ye surj tanha rehta hai…

Ek basti thi dil walon ki..
