Ek Aur Ek Gyarah is a comic thriller about two notorious, small-town street thugs, Tara (Sanjay Dutt) and Sitara (Govinda). During a police chase, they happen to shoot one of the biggest criminals of the nation, Cobra (Ashish Vidhyarthi).
Tara and Sitara manage to escape but Cobra gets arrested and vows revenge. Tara and Sitara are now on the run from the police and Cobra. They finally decide that the only way out is to cross the Nepal border and live peacefully forever.
Cobra’s brother Panther (Gulshan Grover) who was arrested by Maj. Ram Singh (Jackie Shroff) a BSF Officer has the code to the gun that can destroy the nation and Cobra has to get him out.
Tara and Sitara also feel that Ram Singh is the only person who can help them cross the border. They give a sob story to his family and find their way into Ram singh’s house and in turn into the hearts of his family.
And Sanjay Dutt falls in love with Ram Singh’s daughter (Amrita Arora) and Govinda with her friend (Nandini Singh).
When Cobra gets to know about Tara and Sitaras whereabouts, he plans to use them to get his brother out. He kidnaps their mother, reaches Ram Singhs house under the guise of a relative and blackmails Tara and Sitara into getting Panther out.
These two small criminals are now in a catch-22 situation that could escalate into a world crisis. The film brings loads of thrilling moments and hilarious situations where they have no option but to fight it out.
Do they manage to save their mother? Do they lose their loves on revealing their identities? Do they cheat Ram Singh? Or do they support Ram singh to save the nation?
Can they prove that ek aur ek can really equal to gyarah?
My personal opinion… sounds like a stupid movie but there are some Govinda fans on GS… this is for them. I wish that Sunjay would stop these silly flicks.. he is such a great actor and he has proven it over and over again in movies like Vaastav, Khalnayak and Haathyar to name a few.
govinda ahurag rocks this film ain’t rubbish its awesome, the comic scenes are good + its govinda’s last comic film no mre he says to david dawan cos he feels his comic roles aren’t appreciated by the media and the indian public.
Though I have not seen this movie, I am sure it is one more of the Govinda's boring movies. No Story, No script, Vulgar double meaning dialogs and plenty of boring song & Dance sequences.
Govinda's couple of good movies were made in 80s - 'Hatya' being one of them, and among his comedy movies - 'Deewana Mastana', 'Hero No. 1' are better.
Govinda is a good actor, but acting has to be supported by well written scripts (a rare phenomenon in Bollywood).
