Has anyone here visited/lived in Ireland? I need some info.

I have been to Dublin only, mainly for work but I did get a chance to stay for the weekend and so got to see a fair bit of the city. Bottom line is that its a great party town, a great place for hen nights / bachelor parties. The locals are generally very friendly - most Irish peopel are very welcoming and hospitable. Dublin is one o fteh growing number of European cities to ban smoking in all public places including all pubs, bars & restaurants; so you could say its a clean city.
I have heard from many friends that other parts of Ireland are worth exploring; places such as Cork, Galway and Waterford are popular with tourists and you will find affordable B&Bs all over the place.

I've been offered a place at UCD, so there's a possibility i'll be studying in Dublin next year. I guess I just want to know basically what its like, whats the muslim community like, is there a big multicultural population in Dublin or is it mostly Irish, how's transit, how's the weather, etc,etc,?
