Eidi

What sucks about living outside of Pakistan is that you miss out on SO MUCH eidi :naak: My cousins back home have already started getting eidi and I’m like what about meee… =(

So approx how much eidi do you end up receiving/giving every Eid? And how do you plan on spending it?

Also, which organisation/programme would you recommend to someone who wants to donate his eidi?

Re: Eidi

not anymore. Now I give eidi! :(

Re: Eidi

^ Kamao put ho, deni tau pare gi, you owe me some too! :snooty:

Re: Eidi

Aabi kafi time para hai, Sabr :p

I usually get from parents, siblings and phupos, mamu :) It's not the amount that matters but the thought and love behind it.

I guess this time around i will be getting a little more because it will be coming in $. Lols. And i believe i wl end up giving atleast half of it to my babies :). The other half i wl shop with, can't ever have enough of it :p.

Re: Eidi

Only 5 6 thousand he milti hai ab to :(

Re: Eidi

Re: Eidi

Re: Eidi

**as a kid i didn't get much. less than a hundred rupees but when eidi became a big business for kids, i found myself on the giving end of the big stick :)

i give out at least $5000 each on both eids every year [Eid ul Fitra N eid ul Adhaa] that includes close relatives back home and here in Canada. i give like $20 to friends' kids. my eidi mostly goes to kids back home.**

Re: Eidi

I give my nieces and nephews loads of prezzies I've collected for them and about 20 pounds per head.

Re: Eidi

I do get Eidi but not loads of it. And I don’t spend it on anything special, just the usual.

Btw why are your cousins getting eidi so early? Isn’t Eidi supposed to be given on Eid? :emmy:

Re: Eidi

if i am in pak then i get it from my dad only

Re: Eidi

I stopped receiving eidi some years ago, i dont qualify as an adult apparently :( right now i cant afford to give anyone eidi sighs, but when i can, i shall giveth forth.

Re: Eidi

aab tu Eidi dainee parhtee hai milti kuch bhi nahi unless my sister is in good mood and dishes out 20-30 bucks towards me :)

Re: Eidi

I hate knowing my cousins get more than me, sometimes one of my uncles or anties will transfer some in my account or something, that makes me so happy! :D I'm still poor compared to cousins in the homeland ¬¬

I get like £100ish off parents, a tiny bit more here and there, not much sniffle, I spend loads on buying Eid gifts for people so I end up losing money. Bad times.

Re: Eidi

10 years ago aunties would give us 5, 10 bucks each, and all my friends and I would leave the Eid party with about 150. Now we all leave with like $70.

Re: Eidi

Wow - you still make loads of money! Lucky! :-p
