So i have been watching TV regularly for many years now… and almost every paki channel has their own anchors and eid set up and scripts for Eid!!!

Who do think host the best Eid transmission

ARY, GEO, PTV (our legendary heroes), HUMTV, and many more…

any particular show with celebs you remember from the past :hmmm:

please do share your TV memories :slight_smile:

I like it when the drama celebrities host Eid shows talking to other filmi and drama celebrities, but I what I don't like is:

  • The show being too scripted -not having a natural flow - same old questions - aap ko eidi milli?, aap ki bachan ki eid kaisi thi etc
  • The Eid show being filmed well before Eid e.g. in Ramadhan obvious as the guests are not eating due to fasting
  • showing of the same gittay pittay eid comedies/plays

Oh and please no gujjar type Eid movies.

i love the beautiful dresses celebs ladies r wearing… you are right, sometimes it looks too much scripted and sometimes they over react so much that it looks totally fake…

i prefer it being natural too :slight_smile:

i love when they have like pretty sets and a lot of celebrities come all dressed up and play games..i remember some show last year..there were two teams...female celebs against male celebs and they had fun games...

Eid transmissions are fun, making Eid a bit more festive especially for those not celebrating in Pakistan and getting homesick :hinna: ary and hum usually does a good job.

you guys think that this year will have celebs talking and laughing and celebrating?

i dont think so...

thats why there is no geo promo for eid while usually geo promotes the hell out of every little thing....right now they are just promoting imran khans charity foundation and other flood relief stuff

and most celebs right now on their facebooks arent saying "i bought this beautiful dress for eid" rather they are saying what they are doing for the flood victims...or some are just praying and posting very sad comments about the current situation....all songs coming up are about current affairs(only annies new song is about love and sexiness but other than that everyone is very solemn)

if these shows have lounges and talk shows they will incorporate the flood relief in some way shape or form

although some might say we should be happy and relieve ourselves for one day

Hum tv's eid transmission is just too good

but i just hate how every channel is showing indian movies or indian awards show on eid, they could have put on some pakistani music concert or more pakistani telefilms

i was watching aags transmission and it was very nice with imran khan
and then hadiqa on geos show was good too(although some of the other guests and the host were irritating)
