Eid has to be thursday cos today is our 30th Roza. And I'm back to work on Friday. I booked off Wed and Thur in case it was 29 rozas.
But like Sara516 I'm not in the mood at all.

Well, my mom talked to our khala this morning (she's in Lahore), and she said that they were doing Chaand Raat tonight so I guess Eid would be tomorrow for them.

The Halaal Eid is on Friday only :p Ehsan bhai, you should watch the difference between Hilaal-e-Eid and Halaal Eid. They are mandetory for each other ;)

Are you sure they are doing Chaand Raat tonight, according to dawn newspaper today was 28th roza for them and on thursday the committee will sit for moonsighting.

phee, They just had lailatul qadr (27th night, when we had 28th) on Monday night. I watched ARY programs on lailatul qadr last night which was recorded a night earlier as it said in the marquee.

Furqan, Eid is on Friday all over the North America according to the Sunnah. Followers of Aale-yahood (or Sauood) will celebrate it (on Thursday) whenever 80 year olds see the moon in Arabian Peninsula when its not visible even with telescope in Central Africa.

In India/Pakistan Eid is on Friday/Saturday most probably saturday.
So here it's on Friday for sure.
But...Arab will celeberate it on thursday :)
