Waisay, you know what... this eid ki namaaz ka tareeqa is valid in Pakistani mosques and Pakistani trained imams.
Those who have read eid ki namaaz in Saudia will vouch that it is different.
Even doing vitar ba-jamaat (during ramazan for isha) is different between Pakistani maulvis and Saudi maulvis. Over in Saudia, they break off after 2 rakaat, do 1 rakaat separately and in which after ruku, they raise the hands and make dua for, like 20-30 minutes. In Pak, the three rakaat are joined and they do one extra takbeer in third rakaat and do "Dua-e-Qunoot" there.
I once offered Eid ki namaaz in Singapore, behind a Malaysian trained maulvi saab, and trust me,.. their takbeers just don't end.. I think they do atleast 18 - 20 extra takbeers... after a while, it was just going through the motions, and hoping when will it end...they just kept on adding more takbeers...
More the better, I guess. :)
Yeah Pristine, I know what you mean about the lengthy prayer. Our local maulvi did the same as the saudi's. I prefer the saudi method simply because there is more heart put to it rather than just finishing it off with Dua e Qunoot.
