**There, is no mention of ‘Eid’ in the Qur’an and hence what is not in the Qur’an is not a part of Islamic Faith and thus should be closely scrutinised. ‘Eid’ is an innovation in Islam and it is also burden on the Muslims for the enhanced expenditure. This money should be spent on the poor section of the society for providing food, cloth, medical assistance and education.

yeh cheez!! good point… but it’s mentioned in Musnad Ahmed, Hadith no 12006… so we have to offer prayer…

It is very strange that Quran missed so many important things - like this one and then it does not mention any process of governance and succession.

aapki baat barhata chaloon, ALLAH ko hadd se nikal jana pasand nahi, so as you said, we must not waste money and try to be simple
