Please involve kids in Eid celebration as well. Make it a memorable experience for them as we had.
(Please make sure you pay Fitra BEFORE Eid prayer as I undertand the rule)

Eid is about sharing and caring. This day everyone is happy and thankful for the last year's blessings they receieved. Off course we lost many who we will always pray for, and remember in our hearts, but its also about those who have worshipped specially during the holy month of ramadaan (Ramzaan). Lets hope this spirit continues all through the next year and more. We have lots of people celebrating Eid on Thursday all over the world. In my opinion it makes no difference who celebrates when. Just celebrate and be happy!
We have three official days to meet/call and invite lots of people.
Again, Eid Mubarak to ALL on this great forum and their families and friends.

Please do not forget specially the bachelors/singles if they are out of town and away from their families to invite regardless if you knew them before or not. They may go to school or to work to make a living and may feel left out unless we do something.

Eid is a celebration of completion of a great month (Ramadaan) which is like a crash (refresher) course in Islam.
During the month of Ramadaan muslims are expected to be performing all of the major components of islam. This include Worshipping not only God/Allah but also act in the best way they can while interacting with everyone in this world. For someone who does all of this is very intense specially if not used to it in other days or months. But what really this month brings is the unseen and hidden effect on the soul which lasts for a long time.
Its like going to an army camp to learn the descipline.
