Eid Mubarak: Do you invest your Eidi?

My mom always collected all the Eidi from my sisters that was given to them and bought some gold item for their Jahaiz

From me and my borthers, she used to put in a Gullack (Piggy bank). I have no idea where that money was used then, maybe for our clothes or something else..

What do you do with your’s or your kid’s eidi?

Re: Eid Mubarak: Do you invest your Eidi?

Lol...back then gold was pretty cheap, too bad no more :(

I am not sure what I will do with my eidi, maybe save it for thanksgiving sale :D

Reply to your first comment: What do you mean by back then .., I am not talking about 18th century here …

Reply to your second comment: Fuzool kharch khatoon

Re: Eid Mubarak: Do you invest your Eidi?

No one gives me Eidi, I have to give it to everyone. So investment, what investment. :teary2:

Re: Eid Mubarak: Do you invest your Eidi?

You invest in your kids and grand kids then, that is an investment :D

Ditto,
My Saas marhooma used to give me some eidi, and my eldest Sali gives me eidi every year . But I have to give out more than I receive so no investment.

Re: Eid Mubarak: Do you invest your Eidi?

yes iv invested in my mommys bank jab mai chota thei :(

aj tak interest de rahe hon...

lol bhai hum to abh lootay jatay hain, woh zamanay chalay gae jub hum bhi logon (relatives only) ki pockets khali kardetein thay, but now hisab ulta hai, all the little ones just surround me like ants on a plate of cake, and in the end all my wallet has in it is nothing, shukar hai ke that they invented the bank card, now I keep only limited amounts in my wallet (this might sound evil but bhai apnay bhi 100 kharchay hain :D).

sigh... the good ol' days were when I was a kid, damn its hard being a grown-up :-S.
