about bigging one huge mosque..yeah i woudl lvoe that too…the problem with that is that us muslims are cheap, dont liek to spend our own money, and cant get along…look at the sikhs and hindus…now they know how to spend money..look at all their gurdwarars and temples everywhere (nice one…not just a little buildiing in an indurstiral unit…)..they spend money now, and not saving it for god knows when…i noticed that there is no large mosque in west GTA (vaughan, rexdale brampton)…

mfs555 I am sorry but I am quoting you, cuz you said something in regards to us being cheap, that caught my attention.

Sadly we are not cheap we give whatever we can to mosque fund but we don’t tend to see any repair or new mosques. Now can anyone tell me where does that money go? I mean I know examples where it gets stolen to someone took it in personal use. Now coming to temples and guardwaras, they take loan to make those places. How do I know that cuz I work at a bank and sometime work with those deals. Its about unity and we don’t have that its about honesty we dont have that, yet we call ourselves Muslims and give bad name to Islam. Its shameful for us. I am sorry, but yes I am against those molvis and their side kicks that take the money as a fund and fill up their pockets.

One more thing, I don’t understand is every time u go to Pakistani Indian mosque u will see ppl asking for funds, why is that? Yet, if we go to Lebanese, Iraqi or Middle Eastern mosques they will ask u proly once in a three months and they don’t beg you ask you over and over again. And you feel like giving at that time.

I am sorry don’t take it personally I had to rant on about it, cuz its a sensitive and touchy point for me.

I will be praying at home, its better than praying with dhakas and stuff.

Re: Eid namaz in GTA area

the reason why i used the word cheap was something that u mentioned....the musjid is alwasy asking for money money and more money....they are always plannnig to make these big mosques in the GTA and they need funds for this and that...i dont get it, why dont thye just join forces and instead of making smaller musjids, make a larger one?? It kind of pisses me off when i seee these huge temples and gurdwaras, and us muslims have not nice mosque to show off..im talkng about the west side of GTA..i know scar/markham has a nice mosque...here's a situation we had in our own mosque:
in the beginning we had one mosque, then all of a sudden my cousin wanted to make a new and separate mosque..so he did..so half the pple stayed at the orginal mosque and the other half went to the new one....and u know what is the dumb part? these mosques are a block apart!! its pathetic!!!

Re: Eid namaz in GTA area

I understand your point, yes its pathetic that we don’t have unity. you cousin could have had used that money to extend that mosque. Well its just sad
har shaks apnee aik derh inch kee masjid tiyar kere ga tou namazi kahan rahienge.

I read online that there will not be any Eid namaz at the CNE. Can anybody confirm this? Also, the namaz at the Toronto Congress Centre is for Ahmadis.

Re: Eid namaz in GTA area

Eid namaz is being held by Cooper mosque at Trillium Banquet Hall as well. I’ve gone there quite a few times in the past, I think we will probably go to Pearson this year despite what happened last year.

I can’t wait … :rotato:

Re: Eid namaz in GTA area

When I was younger..we used to go to the Pickering Flea Market. It was amazing! Upwards of 20,000 muslims from all around the GTA would come for Eid namas and the bazaar. Unfortunately, they turned that huge space into a mall. We then started going to Islamic Foundation in Scarborough because that was our home mosque. Now that I'm married....I do the banquet hall thing and I really don't enjoy it...it's just a fashion show. At least at the masjid, you know you're in the House of Allah and you come prepared to pray.
