Assalaam o Alaikum,

First of Coming Eid Mubarak, I hope Ramadhan went well for you. In case due to busy life schedule I might not have time to comeback an post Eid Mubarak message. Therefore please accept my advance EID MUBARAK.

I came up woth an idea for Eid Gift. I use to give Mithai or Chocolates to my family and friends on Eid. This year Al-Humdolillah I came up with a better idea: The idea is rather than giving mithas or Chocolates I have bough Islamic books, Audio CDs and DVDs to give to my family and friends. As you know everyone give mithai on Eid and hardly anyone eats, but this gift will be with my family and friends forever which can be used by themselves and also their kids.

I request all the readers of my post to do the same if possible.

If you have better idea please do let me know

You might wanna still include sweets and chocolates. It won't harm anyone.

And what if the ppl who eat the sweets but never really listen to teh cds or read hte books? :)

Excellent Idea.

I also do the same thing, some excellent surahs and nasheeds and islamic talks! Much better gift than wasting money on chocolates and flowers that could probably feed a whole family in a starving country, those people need it more than us but we need knowledge and piety
