Muqawwee123 bhai, Musalmano ko aise kuffar tyoharon aur rasamo se door hi rehna chahiye. Agar woh inme shamil hote hain, to woh khamakha but-parasti ko taraqi dete hain. Waise bhi Rasoolullah (sall Allahu ʿalay-hi wa-sallam) ne Arab mein kabhi Diwali aur Rakshabhandan ka jashan nahi manaaya. Main aapki tawheen nahi karna chahta, lekin aap ko maloom hona chahiye ke apne deen ko bachane ke liye aapko sirf sunnah ke hisaab se hi jeena chahiye.
Agar aapki shaan mein koi gustaakhi ho gayi ho, to bande ko maaf kar dena !
we don’t…i give gifts to people of other faith on their festive occasions and people give me on Eid. nothing further than that. i maintain a ‘balanced’ relationship with them!

Drona.. Let me clear one misconception. Islam doesn’t teach us alienation from others. It supports co-existence. Our prophet used to send gifts and foods to his beloved wife Hazrat Khadija’s women friends (who were not Muslims) even after her death.
Some historian believe that the reason behind the death of the Prophet was poison (mixed in food) that he ate in a Jew’s house.
We have some close family friend from whom we receive mithai every Diwali. When I was still working for my Mamoo’s family business before marriage, one of his Sindhi Hindu business associates would give me a pure Silver Dollar coin as well on Diwali
In high school/college, I went to many Holi celebrations as well. I guess since my family is Indian, it wasn’t that odd.
Being raised in America, I have on many occasions recieved baskets of Christmas Cookies from neighbors or friends. In fact, the holiday season (nov-dec) is my favorite time of year. It’s so festive and lovely!
I also give my non Muslim friends Eid gifts. They love it and are always so appreciative.
