How do you guys usually celebrate Eid in your homes?
Do you keep it simple? what traditions do you have?
Do you think it is different being away from “home” ?
In Pakistan it’s more loud and halagulla, the whole country prepares for it i guess that is why.
Here, it’s more subtle and simple..

we go to namaz
mom yells..jaldi jaldi late ho gey
we go to lunches and dinners
and the women try to look pretty

decorate the house make lots ov food ... ha a party with family n friends ... n give eidi money n clothes ... gifts to eachother .... n then o out sum where

In Pakistan if you have relatives its more fun but I think I have fun here too.On chaand raat you put on Mehndi and then on Eid day you go to parties and yes its all fashion and competition.:)

The only tradition I follow is "doodh ki sawiyaan". We always went to eid prayer as kids with my dad so I take my daughters now that they are older. It has a nice sense of community.

On every first day of Eid, My whole family members gether in our home its like a family gathering so we have lot of fun. On 2nd and third day of Eid, we usually go out and hangout in a mall where every1 can do whatever he/she wants :)

we get ready, go to namaz.. get eidi from elders
On First day, eid is always spent at home with family....all family members get together at home,,,,
Mom cooks fresh lamb and other special Eid dishes.. every one eats n has fun ...some guests visits us too. On second day , we go for dinner n visit some family friends.

Well on chaand raat hamary ghar waly km hi sotay hein every1 preparing his/her stuff for 1st day of Eid
