I am surprise not many people have seen it. It was very common in Karachi just before Eid. I rarely ever bought them myself, but i remember the craze over them specially among young girls.

around two years back, i received a postcard from my cousin in pak and it had pictures of some indian soap serial on it. i guess the trend has shifted towards the tv celebrities now.

If the trend continues, it won't be far fetched to receive eid cards with news anchors smiling faces on them. I am sure Liaqat Hussain of Aalim Online will be a hit among aunties.

I meant HE as in Amir Liaqat Hussain and the molvis sitting next to him must believe that taking photographs of human beings is haram in Islam as i've heard most of the scholars saying the same. Why would he have his pictures on cards if he goes on telling everyone that its haraam?
Makes me wonder if such a question has ever been asked on his show. Either ways, I certainly don't have the authority to pass any judgement in this regard.
