Seems that the beautiful tradition of sending Eid cards is gradually getting outdated. I observed that some shops do stock Eid cards, but didn’t find active buyers.
When did you last send / receive Eid card? Do you think that e-Cards are as good as the traditional cards for greeting?

i send every year to my loved ones and friends...i get it from India in 'thok bhao' ... ALL in beautiful Urdu meN Eid kii nek tamannaayeN and du'aas.
can you write your favourite pre-printed eid message on the card? mine is:
**mukareramii o moHtaramii/mukarramah o moHtaramah/my dear
ba'd salaam e masnoon,
nek tamannaaoN aur sidq-e-dil se nikli hii Eid kii pur_kai'f massarratoN ke saath dili mubaarakbaad qubool farmaaye. No I can’t confuse people with such language and got label of Chacha e Urdu e Mu’alla.

iskaa matlab yeh huaa k ham log India meN rah kar Urdu se ziyaada qareeb haiN ba nisbat Pakistan ke log Pakistan meN rah kar…am i right?
asl card to yehii hote haiN…ab modern ho jaayeN log to koi kia kar saktaa hai..chaliye to phir aap apnaa koii namoona pesh kijiye! let’s see what you have in mind!

lol…bhai serious ho jaayeN…yeh serious thread thii shaayad, aisaa maiN samjhaa thaa…merii shaayad Khaam Khayaalii thii…ab aap Khud hii is laRii ko ‘chuuN chuuN kaa murabba’ banaane par tule huye haiN to phir duusre log to ise khichRii hii banaa DaaleNge!

sorry :sid: But seriously I didn’t send an Eid card with a message (like yours on it). What I used to do to add Dear ------ on the already printed message on the card. In childhood, we used to write ash’aar like:
Dibbe main dibba dibbe main cake
KKF Bhai ki Urdu Lakhon main ek 
Sometimes, in serious mode, we used to write Iqbal’s ashaa’rs on Eid cards (having Masjid e Nabvi on it) like:
Ki Muhammad se wafa tune to hum tere hain
Ye jahan cheez hai kia Loh o Qalam tere hain

Last year I made cards at home along with my nephews for our family and friends. The kids were really excited and we even made a huge Eid Mubarak poster for the Eid party.
Personally I don't like e-cards.. un main woh maza nahi huta..
